independent EP on Oak Records in 1984, "Guitars Cadillacs Etc Etc" in 1984, which received substantial airplay on Los Angeles
college and alternative radio stations. The 6-song EP also helped him land a record contract with Reprise Records. When
Warner Brothers Records signed him, they added four more tracks to the mix to round it out as an album. Released in 1986
